I’m running for House District 80 because I believe that my strong leadership abilities, my life experiences, and my common-sense approach to solving important problems will greatly benefit our state.  I’ve enjoyed staying home to raise my family; now it’s time for me to make a difference for Montana.  It’s time to let real Montana values govern our great state.

I was raised by parents who taught me to love God, to love our great country, and to be a contributing member of society.  I believe the strength of our state lies in our individual abilities to make wise decisions.  Although our backgrounds may vary, we must be united in our efforts to preserve our way of life.

Montanans are smart people who know the value of hard work.  We know that solid business principles put food on our tables and foster long term security.  Many of those same principles can be applied to government.  If a government program is not accomplishing its goals, it needs to be retooled to more effectively serve the people.

Government waste and abuse are unacceptable to Montanans.  If a cow is missing, we look for it.  If a clerk gives us too much change, we return the difference.  We spend what we need and save for the future.  We have extra food in our cupboards; we can and will take care of ourselves and our neighbors in an emergency.  The preamble to the Constitution of the United States says that government should “promote the general welfare” not provide general welfare for the people.  Living within our means brings us personal freedom; government should be run the same way.
